With over two decades of diverse leadership experience, Brian has forged a dynamic career rooted in government, nonprofits, and law enforcement. Dedication to public service and an unwavering commitment to excellence define his journey, crafting a versatile skill set and an impressive record of achievement.

As the Project Director for the Office of Project Management at the State of Nevada, Brian leverages his PMP-certified expertise to lead and execute the CORE.NV project. His responsibilities encompass project planning, risk management, stakeholder communication, budget oversight, and ensuring the successful delivery of Nevada’s new Enterprise Resource Planning system through effective governance and collaboration. Brian previously served as an Executive Board Member for the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators from 2021 to 2023 and was integral in advancing nationwide recreational boating education and enforcement, demonstrating expertise in collaborative leadership and financial oversight.

During his tenure as a Game Warden Captain and Boating Law Administrator at the Nevada Department of Wildlife, Brian showcased proficiency in program budgeting, personnel administration, and leadership. Over 13 years as a Compliance/Enforcement Investigator at the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles, he conducted complex investigations, implemented, and managed the Division’s Case Management System, created an investigative program for deceptive trade practice enforcement, and exemplified unwavering commitment to upholding the law. Brian completed a six-year tour in the U.S. Coast Guard, from 1999 to 2005, and rapidly ascended the ranks while honing skills in small boat operations, law enforcement, and search and rescue operations. Brian began his professional career as a hotel manager at multiple properties in Nevada and California throughout the late nineties.

Brady Phillips, Administrator

In the role of Administrator of the Office of Project Management at the State of Nevada, Brady presently oversees crucial administrative functions for the CORE.NV project. Brady ensures both the human and fiscal components of the project are supported and properly managed to provide the State of Nevada effective governance towards the implementation of Nevada’s new Enterprise Resource Planning system.

Brady has over twenty years of public service within the State of Nevada at both non-profits and as a state law enforcement officer. Brady served five years as a search and rescue member with the Washoe County Sheriff’s Hasty Team. Thereafter, Brady became a State Game Warden with the Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW), where he spent seven years working as a field officer stationed in Southern Nevada but traveling the state for both patrol operations and as an instructor.

Brady was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant where he oversaw regional operations and special events within the Law Enforcement Division, stationed in both Las Vegas and Elko. In 2020, Brady was promoted to the rank of Captain and oversaw both statewide law enforcement operations and the law enforcement training program. During his time as a Captain, Brady displayed talent with management of the Law Enforcement Division’s budget, inventory control, human resources components, updating outdated systems or methods, and new project development. Prior to leaving NDOW, Brady served as the Nevada State Boating Law Administrator. At each step of Brady’s career, he has been peer selected to serve on various boards and committees to provide leadership and ensure the betterment of those groups. These include, but are not limited to, Vice President of the WCSO Hasty Team, President of the Nevada Game Warden’s Association and Board Member for the Nevada Sheriff and Chief’s Association.
